I spent HOURS working on my online store/website using the “Dawn” template. I logged back into today to find that is has ALL been erased! What happened?

Welcome to the Community Forums! Unfortunately, it sounds like you might have forgotten to select the save button when finishing your work. When making changes to your theme, we recommend saving multiple times along the way to ensure no work is lost.
Another possibility which I have seen happen, is when a user logs into their account, they actually accidentally create a second account. This makes it appear all your work is lost, when it is really in a separate account. To check if this did or did not happen, head to our recovery page and input your email address. Any stores created with that email will be sent to your email address. This way you can login to the associated stores and check the themes.

This is such an easy mistake to make: You have to click “save” before exiting when most of us are used to websites autosaving these days. Hope you can rebuild it swiftly the second time and sending chilled vibes in the meantime!
