Why did I get charged $42 from an inactive Shopify store?

Is it normal for Shopify to charge me $42 from a store that I haven’t activated? I have another that is activated, but the monthly payment I will pay in April. I contacted Shopify to refund me this money but was unsuccessful. Can someone help me please?

When you say you contacted Shopify about a refund unsuccessfully - did you have issues reaching our Support team to talk about this?

Once you log in, select the topic you’d like to discuss with the Support Advisor. In your case, click on Account>Plans and billing.

Then scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you should see the ‘Get Support’ section, where you can select your preferred communication channel.
