Today we had a big number of visitors from nowhere, we don’t know where they came and where they go 
The store has an average of 1500 visitors but today reached 40k and counting. There’s no such way to track them (GA shows nothing). They didn’t visit any landing page.
It is a glitch or what else?

This may be the issue with Google Analytics itself.
We have faced similar issues on GA and it resolves without doing anything.
Those extra visit counts do not apply to your site, if you look at the site visit count 1-2 days later.
They are cleared automatically.
If possible, it is better to move to GA4, now that Universal Analytics is getting discontinued.

There is no way to get so many visitors, coming from nowhere. Also, they don’t land on any page.
We checked both GA and GA4 and found the same data on both.
Either are bots (but again, they don’t land on any specific page) or a glitch.
Most probably, it is glitch for Google Analytics. We also faced the same.
Please check todays report tomorrow. If GA shows users, then it might be bots. If there is regular information, then it should be GA glitch.
