Why do customers' carts empty at checkout?

Hi,

Some of my customers are experiencing their carts being emptied when they get to the checkout and they cannot purchase. I have tested this and it doesn’t seem to happen to me.

Can someone tell me how to fix this please ?

Without replication steps - or at least a link to your shop - there’s very little advice the forum members are going to be able to offer. Reasons for an empty cart are many from theme issues, to app conflicts, to local user/browser problems.

Perhaps the forum members could at least test adding to cart to see if they see the result, or spot a possible reason. I would set expectations that being able to replicate really is the only way to determine the cause.

I’m also facing the same issue.

However I found the error replication steps:

  1. add any product to cart
  2. proceed to checkout
  3. place order
  4. on success page, continue browsing the site again
  5. now add any product to cart, it will show 0 cart value
