Why do I keep getting 'server error' when purchasing a domain?

I have a problem with buying my domain, i’ve several names that were all available but couldn’t buy it because it keeps telling me “server error” and that the domain name was already claimed by another shop.

I was wondering I keep getting “server error”.

  • Ensure your device and browser are both up to date
  • Clear your cache and cookies. After this, completely restart the browser before attempting to purchase the domain again.
  • Try to make the purchase using another device or browser (you can also try an incognito or private browser)

Another reason for this error to occur is if there is an issue with the address saved on file. This can be accessed by heading over to your Shopify Admin and clicking on Settings > Store Details. From there, please ensure that all the fields in the address section are accurate and that you do not have any additional spaces in any field.
