Why do my custom nameservers keep resetting after 48 hours?

Hi all,

I have been on to support but now my query is “out of scope” for them.

I need to use custom nameservers as I have site hosted here but email hosted elsewhere, so Ihave updated the nameservers accordingly and everything works as it should.

After 48 hrs the nameservers keep resetting back to default, now I have been told it is due to a validation check on A record and CNAME. Both these have been set on the DNS at the email host, however the validation still fails and nameservers reset.

As you can imagine every time this happens it is only noticed when emails start bouncing back and then I have to set the nameservers again and wait for it to update.

Is there a solution to this ?

Update. No one got back to me, so ended up resetting nameservers and editing the dns here to point back to the external mail host. Still doesn’t solve the issue if someone had to use custom NS.
