Why do my pictures appear blurry on my web pages?

When I insert a picture in the ‘Pages’ the picture displays completely fine. After posting - when I preview the page the picture is blurry. I have tried different sizes and it does the same thing.

What page has the blurry image?

It is any pictures that have been inserted onto the actual Page.

For most of my sections on my website I use a new template and insert new sections i.e. pic - text or columns etc. But I do have some pages which I like to keep standard.

While editing the page the picture looks completely fine - it is just after posting that it becomes blurry.

It seems the issue is with the image size being rendered. Shopify is rendering it as 480x . You should tweak the srcset or however way your image sizes is being rendered depending on screen size.

I have no idea what you mean by this or how to do that.

No worries, lemme explain. So shopify renders images according to the screen size a user is one. And from what I’m seeing, I think the issue is with how your images are being rendered, so if you could find how your images are being rendered then you can tweak it to see if it fixes this issue.

if you can find the snippet for your images, kindly post it here.

I would need instructions on how to find the snippet of the images? Or how to find out how to find out how my images are being rendered?

I can create a new post for these questions if needed and get back to you.

Okay. You can search in your code editor for image and you should some results. Kindly post a screenshot of that here.

and quick question, have you tried uploading an image with a higher res? If no, try doing that and if yes what happened?

Hi Luna,

This is what I have found in the image.liquid. The other ones are showing the image with features etc. which will not be it. As the blurry image only appears on pages I create and not the actual section when I use a new template.

All of my pictures are 1080 quality so I do not believe that the quality should display so bad.
