Requesting Shopify Payment services to be brought to India.

I believe it’s possible even if there are laws which may make it tricky.

Knowing a major part of the Shopify workforce are Indians, it’s silly to gatekeep a payment bottleneck fix to a population of 1.4 billion.

I do have paypal, stripe requires my business to be registered, they’re not enough I’m trying to set my payu account as well but it may face currency conversions issues. This could’ve been way more simpler

Yes Please! It matters to me because I get direct access to so many payment options for my customers and it will no longer be a bottleneck to my service, setting up and working with a 3rd party is messy and unreliable and often may face restrictions for new comers like me who would like to test out a business model and not have to go through the tedious registration process for a business which hasn’t even been profitable enough to continue.

Hey Don,

I am running 2 businesses on Shopify from India since 3 years. I want to sell internationally, using markets+Shopify payments so that I can set different currencies for people across the globe. Not having Shopify Payments in India is the biggest disappointment, as it has made my life so much more difficult than it should be.
I will have to make a separate store for international customers so that I can price the products in USD.
Please help us get Shopify Payments :disappointed_face:
