Why does my banner image lose quality when adding a color gradient?

Hello guys.

Im uploading a 1800x1000 Image for my Banner and the Quality is good.

But as soon as i want to upload a image with colourgradient the Image quality is really bad?

Pls help

it actually looks like this. But i think it is bad quality. I dont enjoy looking on this image. the colour lines look like bad quality.

I thought about removing the colour and just load a transparent image with the logos and use shopify colour as background. But the Image still has a grey colour when i load it as transparent..

Thats how it looks. Seems like rlly bad quality for me.
