On both mobile and desktop, the side menu repeats itself. I even tried deleting my main menu and it’s still showing up duplicated. Why is this happening and how to I get it to stop?
Update: It’s been 2 hours, and without me touching anything, the menu is now fixed on mobile (although only working by me having no navigation set up), and has completely disappeared from the desktop version. I wasn’t even at the computer
Update 2: I put the pages back in my main menu. Now, no matter if I put them in or take them out, the duplicate menu glitch remains.
This is Rae from the Shopify team. Thanks for letting us know about this.
I’ve taken a look at your site using the URL you provided, and it looks like you might be using the additional menu feature on the Brooklyn theme, which would cause your main menu to look like it’s duplicated. To check if this is the case, please follow these steps:
In the theme editor, click the ‘Sidebar menu’ section
Check to see if your main menu is linked under both the ‘Primary menu’ and the ‘Additional menu’ here
If it is, you can either change the additional menu by clicking ‘Change’, or you can use the ‘Remove’ button to remove the additional menu altogether
If these steps don’t help remove the duplicate menu on your site, then I recommend reaching out to our Support team about this directly so we can help investigate further. To get started with this, please visit our Help Center, log in to your account, and submit a support request with us here. Then, our team can verify your account, and speak with you about this situation over live chat, email, or through a callback.
Since this is the best way to help resolve the issue you’re facing, I’ve marked my reply as the solution to your thread. That way, if other merchants are also experiencing a duplicate menu on Brooklyn, they’ll know which steps to take to resolve this on their end, too.
Did following the steps I shared above help remove the duplicate menu on your Brooklyn theme? If not, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help further.
