When I go to add my debit card to the payments section on my shopify store it is saying my account number is invalid

yes I am adding a bank account for payouts and it is my first time doing so, I am also following all the correct steps

If you’re following these steps, and you’re adding a bank account there for the first time, this error can often mean that the account information you are entering doesn’t match. Another possibility is that the account you’re trying to use isn’t eligible to receive payouts from Shopify Payments. You can read more about the bank account requirements for Shopify Payments payouts here. You’ll want to first select your region to see the requirements specific to you.
If you’ve double checked that the account is eligible, and you’re certain you’re entering the correct information, I recommend reaching out to our live support team here.
