Thanks for posting in the Shopify Community. Just to confirm, is your domain still being hosted by WordPress (or another third-party host), or are you looking to transfer it to Shopify?
If you’re looking to connect your domain (and keep it hosted by a third-party provider) you’ll want to ensure you’re following the steps in this help document and that your DNS settings are correct.
If you want to transfer your domain in order to be able to manage all your domain settings from your Shopify admin, you can follow the steps outlined here!
If you’ve verified everything is correct on your end but you’re still being redirected to your old WordPress site, please share the URL here and I’d be happy to look into this further!
