I am manually entering inventory and I have a single location. Even in the back office, it is showing inventory on hand, but it is showing the goods to be sold out on the customer facing site. I cannot get it to stop doing this.
This was happening to me too today, I wrote how i was working around it in a different thread, hopefully, someone actually resolves the issue

I read your thread and tried that work around, but it didn’t work for me. I hope you have luck.
I would try to raise a support ticket too. Hopefully, if they get enough they can look into the problem and fix it for all of us

Is anyone else ALSO having the issue of newly sold out items not showing as sold out???
I’m also having this issue - importing products from printful - inventory is showing as 9999 in product settings, however on the store it immediately shows as sold out for every variant…?
Same here. I have a old item before this issue start. I just restock it, but it still show sold out.
Yep, I updated inventory on sold out items about 2 hours ago and they are still showing as out of stock. Been on hold with chat for 20-30 minutes, another 35 to go.
Oh wow. What a mess!!! I hope it gets fixed soon.
Got off the chat with Shopify finally. They said it was a known issue affecting a lot of merchants, and a fix was sent out an hour ago, so it should “resolve soon”. I am not sure why if it is a known issue, they wouldn’t update the Status page, or put in a Dashboard banner to let us know we may be affected. It is a waste of their time and ours to make us chat to find out this information.
