Hey @LunaZA
For you to connect with them, please follow these steps:
On your domain provider’s website, log in to your account.
Find the DNS settings or domain management area.
Change the following records:
Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.
Save your changes.
Hi there, @LunaZA .
Thanks so much for reaching out with this query. Connecting a third-party domain to Shopify involves editing the DNS settings. In order to do this, please follow these steps:
You can read these instructions in detail here if you wish. Please note that after making any kind of change to your DNS settings, it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to apply. During this period, I would advise using your .myshopify.com domain so customers can still access your store. Is it possible you are seeing this error because you are still in this 48-hour period?
Are you currently at the stage of launching your store? If so, congratulations! What an exciting time! I would highly recommend checking out our store launch checklist here to ensure you are hitting all the main targets, this means you will be in a really strong position when it comes time for your store to go live. I trust this helps, thank you!
Hello @LunaZA ,

If you have recently purchased a domain and it is not yet connected to your Shopify store, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue:
Check your domain settings
Log in to your domain registrar account and make sure that your domain is set up correctly. Verify that your domain’s DNS settings are correct and that your domain is pointing to Shopify’s servers.
Wait for propagation
It can take up to 48 hours for changes to DNS settings to propagate across the internet. If you’ve recently made changes to your domain’s DNS settings, you may need to wait a bit longer for them to take effect. You can use a tool like https://www.whatsmydns.net/ to check the status of your domain propagation.
Verify your domain in Shopify
In your Shopify account, go to Online Store > Domains and click on your domain. From there, click on “Verify domain” to make sure that Shopify recognizes your domain.
Refer “Adding a domain to Shopify” guide
Contact Shopify support
If you’ve tried the above steps and your domain still isn’t connecting, you can reach out to Shopify support for further assistance. They should be able to help you troubleshoot the issue and get your domain connected to your store.
Remember that connecting your domain to your Shopify store is an important step in getting your online store up and running, so it’s important to take the time to ensure that everything is set up correctly.
I hope this is useful.
