Why does my product description keep disappearing on my e-commerce site?

Hello. I tried searching but can’t seem to find the same issue elsewhere.

I’m beginning to add products to my site for the first time. Up until now, it was used as a non-eComm site. I’m on Dawn 1.0, and use Shogun page builder. I can’t update to a newer version of Dawn because I’d have to fully install and replace the 1.0 version, and I’d lose all my custom code.

I created a gift card product, made some price variants, and saved it. I inputted a description into the Description field and saved, but the content of the description disappears when I reload the page, or when I go back to add more products. I can preview the product page and see the description briefly, but as soon as a close the Product edit page in Shopify, the Description is removed and disappears from the Product.

Here’s the page for the gift card, which I’ve tried adding the description to a handful of times, but with no luck getting it to stick.

Did you add Description block in your Online store > Themes > Customize > Products > Default product?

Hey, yes the description block is there. To be more specific about the problem — let’s say I create a new product. I write in the product name, the product description, set the price, etc. Then I save it. If I reload the page, or go back to the main product page to create a new product and go back in to view the new product I just created, that description I JUST added in is now gone. It literally disappears from the product itself in Shopify.
