A user uploaded 4 product images and added 2 variant types with their own images. On the live product page, the variant images display first, followed by the main product images—opposite of the intended order.
A respondent explains this is Shopify’s default behavior:
To change this display order, the user can install a variant image app from the Shopify App Store (such as “Easy Variant Images”) that provides more control over how variant and product images are sequenced and displayed.
Hi, i uploaded f.e. 4 pictures of product and added 2 types of variants, with image of course. When I saved it and went to check it on my page, it shows 2 variants first and after that there are these 4 pictures which i wanted before variants photos. How to solve it, please?

By default, Shopify allows adding many images of the parent product (product template) but only adds 1 image of the child product (product variant). So when selecting the option, it only shows 1 product image and the remaining images of the parent product will be taken. If you want to change, you can refer to the multiple variant image app on the store. (i.e. Easy Variant Images)
