the link to my shop redirects to my original site thats hosted through squarespace. I have redirecting turned off on both sites. additionally, theres no button to change my domain target in shopify. shop link is

Did you connect your domain name to your Shopify store?
You can do that from Shopify admin > Settings > Domains. You an check this article to learn more

my domain is not connected. which is why its confusing that the link redirects to my original site
So please make sure you do not add original site link to a navigation of your Shopify.
