Please help!
It looks like the image is flashing because its reloading the slideshow loop and there are no other images in the slideshow. Have you thought about using a different type of section for this image instead of the slideshow section? Maybe a section like Image with Text Overlay or something similar that is built into your theme?
The problem with switching is the image is not mobile responsive. Slideshow allows us to pick our image for mobile viewing.
