Why does shopify sell an extra item of something that is sold out?
Better yet, How does this keep happening?
When an item is sold out the customer should not be able to purchase more. Does this happen if the item is held in the cart over time then they checkout after the item has sold out?
Please help its really frustrating having to reach out to customers saying they can’t have it because the system over sold the item, how unprofessional
I have uploaded an image to help you understand what I mean.
Allow purchases when out of stock is not active but shopify still continues to sell one more sometimes more. Doesn’t happen to all items and not all the time but it happens.
Did you ever find a solution to this? I am having this issue. I had an end of summer sale this weekend, and today alone i have 5 orders that were things that are not in stock, and shopify reflected that. it was not an inventory issue on my end. This is frustrating!
Unfortunately not. Who ever I spoke to strongly believes that I either
entered the wrong stock amount, accidentally pressed the allow to purchase
when sold out button or I pressed save more than once not before the number
turned to 1 for example.. That happens when you have many things saving at
the same time like draft to active, no collection to a collection, new
photos saving at the same time.
