Why does Shopify insert the Region above the City/Town to display store address?

My store is located in the province (region) of Otago which Shopify abbreviates to OTA. Aside from the fact that we do not use this information in addresses in New Zealand, why does Shopify put it above the Town/City and Postcode/Zip line?

Is there a way to correct this, or hide the Region line altogether?

Thanks - I will do this to sort my marketing emails. To me it seems like an error to display the region between the street and town lines of the address. It’s a far wider issue than my marketing emails alone. I cannot even clear the field from the address in Admin Settings like every other field. It’s also an issue in every email and place where an address is displayed automatically including customer order notifications). I guess I can edit all these too if it bothers me so much :joy: - Thanks for this info
