Why does Shopify sync remove my subscribed customers?

I’ve been having trouble with what I thought was MailChimp, but it looks like it might actually be Shopify syncing and removing customers that were subscribed. It’s happening in batches of 12 and might be connected to some stored data having the email consent to no even though they had previously subscribed (and haven’t unsubscribed). Is there any way for me to change that information so it doesn’t remove my customers?

That means your customers are subscribed and after you install MailChimp, the subscribed customers will be removed. This can be managed by MailChimp, so I recommend contacting them for support. Because MailChimp is managing everything and it will be difficult for someone to debug it for you.

Or if you want to remove MailChimp and switch back to Shopify default newsletter form, I can guide you to change it.
