Why does the 'Buy Now' button refresh instead of directing to cart or checkout?

I have a question, when I click on the button : Buy now from “image with text section” instead of leading me to the cart or checkout, it refreshes.

Is there a way to bring customers directly to the cart or checkout without refresh
