Why does the 'Error Adding To Cart' message keep appearing?

Hello!

I’ve been having numerous occasions where my customers have trouble adding to cart and checking out. It just pops up as “Error Adding To Cart”.

Any ideas?

I’m sorry to hear you’re encountering an issue with adding products to the cart on your website. Issues like this are commonly caused by your theme and theme troubleshooting may help you fix it.

If you haven’t tried doing this yet, could you please download a new free theme from the Shopify Theme Store, preview it and try adding products to the cart there? If you’re able to do so without any errors or issues, that means your current theme is causing the problem. When this is the case, you’ll need to reach out to the theme developer for them to find the root cause and the solution. Alternatively, you may try downloading a new version of the theme you’re currently using and use that moving forward if it works fine.
