Why does the wrong product variant get added to my cart?

Hello,

I’m asking for help from the community because I’m tearing my hair out with this problem.

When I select a variant (e.g. size) on a product and I add it to the cart, the variant visible in the cart is always the smallest (e.g. I select XL and it’s the S that is added to the cart). It’s incomprehensible, especially since it worked very well before.

I’m having this issue too.

The Shopify Support person is advising me of the following:

It is a browser issue or cache. I recommend for them (the customer) to clear cache, update their browser and make sure to use a supported browser.

too late if they placed the order and didn’t realise…

Hi, I noticed this same in my shop today. The variants don’t go as chosen to the cart. Also noticed that price doesn’t change on the product page as they should depending on variant choices. It doesn’t seem to be a browser issue as same error appears in many different browers.

Just launched a new store and now it doesn’t work.

Hi, I am having this issue now. What did you do to fix it? I would appreciate any advice on this issue.

My problem was probably solved by deleting an app - https://apps.shopify.com/product-customizer.
