Why does theme customization show 'This shop doesn't have a website yet' error?

Whenever i try to customize a theme it appears “this shop doesnt have a website yet. if youre the store owner login here”

im not sure what happened but also a tab appeared saying this

This page is not compatible with the editor due to one of the following issues:

  • Page is redirecting to an unsupported URL
  • Page failed to load due to an error

Someone please help me with this asap! thanks

Thank you for posting your question. This is definitely very strange, so I’d like to start off by ruling out any local browser or cache errors with the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Try clearing cache/cookies of current browser
  • Try from a different, up-to-date, browser
  • Try from a different network connection

This will ensure that any old store sessions or conflicting requests are resolved before continuing to the theme editor page.

After that, please log in to your store and continue to editing your theme as per usual. If you still experience issues at that point, please share a screen recording with me of your workflow so I can gain further insight into what may be happening.
