Dear Sir,
I have an account in shopify and my website in is fashionmargo.com. I tried to set up weight-based shipping rates in Shopify to modify the shipping calculation before launching the site, and I did all things should I do as follow steps
- I entered the weight of the product in the appropriate field (for bags section) as 00.10 kg
-I selected the countries I want to set up shipping rates for, and then clicked on “Add shipping rate”.
- In the “Shipping rate” dialog box, I entered a name for the shipping rate.
- I selected the “Based on” option as “Weight-Based” and set the weight range to 0.1 - 1000 kg.
-and under the “Price” section, I entered the amount I want to charge for each item ( $5 ).
But Unfortunately the shipping cost is not being multiplied by the number of items in the cart.
could you let me know what steps I lost!
I appriciat your kind reply

Hi @Sameeha ,
It sounds like you have correctly set up weight-based shipping rates in Shopify, but you may have missed a step in configuring the shipping rates to apply to multiple items in the cart. Here are some steps you can follow to ensure that your shipping rates are multiplied by the number of items in the cart:
- Go to your Shopify admin and click on “Settings” in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Click on “Shipping and delivery” and then click on “Manage rates” next to the shipping zone you want to modify.
- In the “Shipping rates” section, click on the name of the shipping rate you created.
- Under “Conditions”, click on “Add condition” and select “Quantity”.
- Set the range of quantities for which the rate should apply (for example, “1+” for any quantity of items).
- Under “Price”, select “Add calculation” and choose “Multiply by quantity”.
- Enter the price you want to charge per item and click “Save”.
By following these steps, your shipping rates should be multiplied by the number of items in the cart, and your customers should see an accurate shipping cost at checkout. If you continue to have issues, you may want to reach out to Shopify’s customer support for further assistance.
