My paypal credit card payment option has stopped working, what should I do??

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I’m happy to provide some assistance with PayPal, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding, are customers receiving an error when attempting to checkout with PayPal?
If so, I’d encourage you to confirm that PayPal has successfully been connected to the shop. We have a great Setting Up PayPal document that touches on how this can be completed, that I recommend checking out.
It outlines however, that you can:

Head to Settings > Payments, from within the Shopify admin.

In the Additional payment methods section, find PayPal.

Click Manage.

Click Deactivate PayPal Express Checkout.

Click Deactivate PayPal Express Checkout again to confirm.

Click Activate PayPal Express Checkout.

Enter the email address for your PayPal account, and then click Next.

Enter the password for your PayPal account, and then click Log In.

On the PayPal permissions page, click I Give Permission.

On the PayPal confirmation page, click Go back to Shopify.

Make a test transaction to make sure everything is set up properly.
