Why has the customer search bar disappeared from my admin page?

This morning I opened Shopify to start my day and noticed the Customers admin page has changed. The search bar is gone? (It’s still the same on the Orders admin page)

Can we please have it back?

I’d rather search for a customer just on the customer page - I don’t want to search the whole site for them.

I like the new create a segment to a point - mostly however I don’t want to save a segment I search for but this seems to be the only way to be able to access the Customers in the segment without clearing the search.

I see what you’re trying to do but I think it has over complicated the simplicity of finding Customers.

Perhaps you can incorporate the new but keep the old search bar? Please?

The search bar is still present; however, it is at the very top of the page after the recent change. Hopefully someone at Shopify will take note - the search bar’s on the orders and products pages are much more intuitive (like the old customers search bar). The Customers page now includes a large “Segments” window which is just taking up space 99% of the time. IMHO, the Segments window should be hidden until/unless you want to actually use it. The overall admin interface is very disjointed - someone in Shopify land needs to be tasked with ensuring a consistent look and feel across Orders, Customers, and Products (and the rest of the Admin for that matter).

Yes, please bring the old search bar back! I have multiple customers per company, and I can no long see and scroll through them like I used to.

I totally agree, this is a terrible change, and now they’ve made it even worse, having to click a search icon every time you need to search for a customer, order, or product…hope someone from Shopify is listening and brings the old layout back, this is a major pain that causes me to lose several seconds every single time I go to look for something!

Couldn’t agree more!! 99% of the time when I go to the Customer, Order or Products it’s to do a search. Having to click the search icon 50 times a day is very inefficient and frustrating. Hopefully the Shopify team will do away with the need to click the search icon and just have the search bar displayed by default. MUCH more efficient and Admin friendly!
