why i am not able to add my own domain name which is available …it is showing i need to upgrade plan when i have already purchased shopify basic plan

I’d love to investigate the issue you’re encountering. It is definitely possible to add a custom domain to your store when you’re on the Basic plan so this behavior is unexpected and needs to be investigated.
Can you please share a screenshot of the are where you’re asked to upgrade your plan so I can take a closer look? Additionally, can you please double check that you’ve selected the Basic plan by heading over to the Settings > Plan area in your store? If you were able to select the Basic plan, it should say this under your plan details.
