I was recently going through my store and have noticed a random sales badge on one of my items. I do not have any sales badge apps installed to my knowledge, and even stranger the sale $$ value is not related to any markdown on the site. Does anyone know why this is?

This is Rae from Shopify. Thanks for letting us know about the sale badge that’s appearing on your site.
This usually occurs when a sale price is added to a product via the ‘Compare at price’ option that’s available on the product pages in the Shopify admin. I know you mentioned that you haven’t created any markdowns on your site, but it’s worth checking to see if a ‘Compare at price’ was mistakenly added to this product, as this may trigger the sales badge to show up on your live site.
With this in mind, when you view your AKTIV product from within your Shopify admin, does this product have both a ‘Compare at price’, and a regular ‘Price’? If so, to remove this, I suggest editing the ‘Price’ on the product to be the full price, and removing the ‘Compare at price’ from the product altogether. Please follow these steps to complete this process:
- Login to your Shopify admin
- Click on ‘Products’ in the lefthand sidebar
- Select your AKTIV product
- In the ‘Pricing’ section, set the ‘Price’ to be the full price of the item
- Remove the ‘Compare at price’ from the item
- Click ‘Save’
If this doesn’t resolve things, then this may be due to a setting on your theme. To determine if this is the case, please reply back to me here with the name of your theme. You can find this information directly in your Shopify admin under ‘Online Store > Themes > Current theme’.

I am having the same issue even after putting “0” for compare at price. I am using Dawn.
