A year ago, we enthusiastically created www.sslow.bio through a marketing agency, a store dedicated to the sale of premium slow-life clothing. Initially, we loved the brand, but we didn’t take into account that Google converts “sslow” to “slow,” making us virtually invisible in search engines.
Additionally, in the Search Console, most of our pages are not indexed, and we have to add them one by one. Is there a solution to this?
1. I don’t think Google makes you invisible on search engines because of the “slow” part
Google’s algorithms have evolved to such an extent that they can understand user intent, keywords, and brand names far better than in the past. Google uses various factors like domain authority, SEO optimization, brand mentions on credible websites, social signals, and more to rank your website on search results.
So, ensure your website is well-optimized in regards to SEO, with proper metadata, relevant content, a clear site map, and your brand name mentioned consistently throughout. Also, build brand awareness through social media and other channels so Google can understand your brand better.
2. By submitting your sitemap to Gooogle, you can index your pages all at once
Log in to your GSC account. Click on ‘Sitemaps’ > In the ‘Add a new sitemap’ field, enter your sitemap and then click ‘Submit’
