Why is Google Merchant Center asking for missing MPN & GTIN information?

Hi,

I am trying to use google ads for a drop shipping product but the problem is that google merchant account is asking for missing information which is mpn & gtin it also says dynamic marketing is disapproved (product is ladies innerwear). Have spoken to the supplier and they are saying that they don’t have any gtin numbers and do not use mpn just use the normal sku numbers which are available on their page but even after using those sku figures google merchant centre is still not resolving the issue .

Hi @Dell2

You have to note identifier_exists field is false. Uncheck the box. For more information, you can check here.

  1. If a manufacturer has assigned a barcode then you are required to add this info in the GTIN field. Alongside the brand value with identifier exists to yes.

  2. If the manufacturer has not assigned a barcode, then remove the values brand, mpn and gtin and set identifier exists to no.

You can use feed rules to apply the info:

And make sure to reprocess the feed after the rules are applied: https://feedarmy.com/kb/how-to-reprocess-content-api-in-google-merchant-center/

I am facing the same problem

Have you followed the video above? At what stage where you not able to implement the rules? Or is there something else that is preventing you from applying the rules?

Hey,

it seems like the layout of merchant centre has changed and there is no option “feed rules” anymore. How to address this issue in 2024?

If you are using GMC Next, you can not implement feed rules. It’s still in beta. You will need to convert to GMC Classic by clicking on the question mark then scroll to the bottom to convert.
