Why is horizontal scrolling not working properly on Prestige theme mobile view?

Topic summary

Mobile horizontal scrolling fails on Prestige theme sections (“Images Text with Scroll”, “Testimonials”, “Text with Icons”) in mobile view. Only one item is shown; pagination dots indicate more items, but swiping horizontally is unreliable—sometimes not responding, sometimes only after multiple swipes.

Findings:

  • On mobile, the carousel appears to expect tapping the pagination dots instead of swipe gestures, especially in Testimonials.
  • User wants native horizontal swiping to navigate between items, not dot taps.

Environment:

  • Tested on Chrome and Safari (mobile). Desktop behavior is normal.

Troubleshooting attempted:

  • A suggested code/script fix was tried (with proper closure), but it did not enable swiping. No other changes reported.

Requested outcome:

  • Enable smooth, consistent horizontal swipe navigation for the affected sections on mobile.

Status:

  • No confirmed solution yet. Issue remains open with unanswered questions on how to activate swipe gestures for these carousels in the Prestige theme.

I’m using the Prestige theme and I’m having problems with the “Images Text with Scroll”, “Testemonials” and “Text with Icons” elements.

In the desktop variant everything works very well. However, in the mobile view only 1 item is always displayed. The rest is hidden, it appears under the 1st point several points, which signal that there are more points. However, scrolling (horizontal) to the other points works very poorly. Sometimes not at all, sometimes only after repeated swiping.

Unfortunately, I have not found a cause for this and am now looking for a solution.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the answer.

I have since found out what exactly the problem is. For example, in the testimonials you can not swipe horizontally, but you have to click on the three dots below to scroll further. But I would like to see the other testimonials by horizontal swiping.
I have the same problem with other elements that use these three dots at the bottom in the mobile view.

I have tested with Chrome and Safari.

Yes, that is precisely the problem. I would be so grateful for your help

Thanks, unfortunately it did not solve the problem.

I tried it as specified and with at the end. But unfortunately I still can’t swipe the elements.
