Why is it so difficult to get in touch with someone with shopify?

Why is it so difficult to get in touch with someone with shopify? This is troubling and it isn’t sufficient support. The live chat box nor is “support” helpful!

I have a problem that no one seems to be able to assist with. How can I change the email associated with a inactive account so that I can receive the 10 digit code? It says it’s sending the code to my e-mail but I am not receiving it. I have contacted Microsoft to confirm my email and that it’s working receiving/sending, no blockages or rules for external e-mails and nothing is wrong. I just need to switch e-mails in order to renew my account.

I’m sorry to hear about your troubles with accessing your account. This may seem redundant, but please make sure to check your junk email inbox, as sometimes codes can land there. If no such code is present, continue with the next steps below.

In situations like these where you’re unable to access your account via verification method, we’ll want you to get in touch with our Account Suport Team via our Help Center so they can get this resolved.

Similar to what you did earlier, you will want to navigate to our Help Portal and speak to our AI Chat Assistant. Let the Assistant know that you’re unable to login to your account as you can’t get the code that is being sent to your email. You will then be prompted to connect with a member of the Team, who can then get a ticket created for you, and get it passed along internally so someone can follow up with you regarding getting access to your store.
