The bottom of our pages have gone funny and when the Cart link is clicked the cart is opening at the bottom of the current page instead of on a new page.

I’d like to check this out with you to see what might be happening here.
Could you let me know first the name of the theme you’re using in your store currently as it was originally downloaded?
Would you have made any changes to the theme’s code at any point, or added any apps that may have done so?
If so, you can revert any code changes made to .liquid files in your theme code as outlined here.
I can check this out and try to reproduce the behaviour you mentioned if you’re happy to share a link to your store here.
Thanks Don. The theme is called Supply. We haven’t installed any apps or edited the code for quite awhile so I’m bit confused how this has suddenly happened.

Thanks for getting back to me here and for sharing that info and your store link.
I checked out your site from my location here and I was able to reproduce the behaviour you mentioned.
Your footer is showing a ‘close cart’ button there, and I was not able to proceed to the cart from your home page.
I would ordinarily recommend looking for code changes or apps which pertain to your cart page as a result, though in this instance you mentioned you had not recently added any code or apps which might affect your theme.
Would you have an app previously installed that works on your cart or product pages in a way that pertains to your cart?
The next troubleshooting step I’d recommend is installing a fresh copy of the theme from our theme store.
This will allow you to check to see if the issue is present on an unedited theme, which would indicate it might be an issue with Shopify, or if the fresh theme is working okay (which would likely confirm the issue is coming from the theme specifically).
