Every morning I have to restart my ipad and set up my chipper reader to get it to connect. If I try to “wake” it every morning without restarting when I open my store, it won’t connect. I’ve tried a pressing the power button multiple times and even a few hard resets etc. Help!!

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with your chipper reader connecting to your iPad device. Just to confirm, are you referring to the Chipper 2X BT card reader? Could you also confirm if you’re seeing any error messages present on your iPad device?
I’d like to share some troubleshooting methods to try first to see if this rules out the connecting issue. You’ll first want to refresh your Bluetooth Settings by completing the following steps:
- Turn off Bluetooth on the iPad
- Turn off the iPad for a minimum of 3-4 minutes
- Turn both the iPad and Bluetooth back on, and continue to set up hardware through the POS app
Within the POS app, could you ensure that all POS app permissions are set to green. The POS app permissions are on the Settings of the iPad.
- Open up Settings
- Scroll down and click Shopify POS
- Check the permissions
