Hi i dont know why but i have entered the A and CNAME correctly but when i tried to connect it to shopify it says i entered it incorrectly plus it says the A’s and CNAME’s current value is empty which are not because i entered it right. that made me so confused if you could help me with this situation please respond to this as soon as possible, thank you very much!
When updating your DNS records for your domain, it can take between 24-48 hours for them to appear publicly. If you are still within this timeframe, then you will need to wait for the changes to take effect before your domain can successfully be added to your Shopify store. If you’re unable to add your domain after 48 hours then please let me know the domain name so I can take a look.

I have double-checked with my domain provider that they’re all correct.
While your domain manager and provider may say your settings are correct, it may not always be the case for what publicly appears. If after 48 hours have passed and you’re still seeing the error, then you can use tools like MXtoolbox to see what records appear publicly.
If you’re seeing incorrect records, then you can use that to engage your domain provider for further support.
If the correct settings are appearing, then click the verify button three times to manually connect the domain to your Shopify store, or contact Shopify Support for further assistance.
Hey I recently had this same problem with the A and CNAME error its been longer that 48 hours and its still giving me this error.
Hello Trevor, I recently have had the same problem. I am trying to add my domain - which I brought from Google - but Shopify doesnt allow me because of the same problem as the person that raised the question, and because I have different IPs (which is also very strange because none of the IPs are from the country where I reside). Therefore, after numerous attempts, I believe only you can help me out.
