I went to page PRODUCTS and clicked import. Then i browsed for my csv file and uploaded it. It started uploading but then stopping and nothing.
I tried to use Store importer but again nothing (at least it displays an error). I uploaded many times diffrent csv files and it says that is not recognised.
Again, the same error. Now the file is CSV UTF-8. This is from Store Importer. From the admin panel in the Shopify store the error is “Failed to fetch”.
Great that you’re using a CSV file to import products into your store. You’ll need to ensure that you’re using the right CSV file format. Luckily we have a CSV example file you can work from.
We also have a handy video you can follow along with, to make sure you don’t miss any crucial steps:
Could you give that a try and see if that helps? If not get back to me here and I’d be happy to help you further.
I compared the file from my supplier, the example file and even the page in your site and everything is almost the same (some not required columns are missing only).
For our system to read the file it would need to 100% meet our formatting requirements exactly, so the omission of columns and information would not work. Please use the example file linked above to transfer that inventory over!
Hey, I got the same error this morning. I exported all products from a store and found/replaced a typo. When I tried to import them back I got the error. The csv was over 7000 rows. When I broke it down to parts it imported perfectly.
CSV size seems to be a factor
CSV size is certainly a factor. As we outline in our help guide for Importing Products with a CSV, your product CSV can’t exceed 15 MB. If you get an error when trying to upload a new CSV file you could verify that it doesn’t exceed the size limit.
