Why is my CSV product import failing on my ecommerce site?

Hello,

I’ve imported via CSV for forever and never had any issues. I exported my products yesterday morning to add a new variant. I oops’d when I did this and imported an overwrite which removed all variants of course, except for the one.

When I tried to overwrite it again with the previous export that was live before the oops. I get an error “line x is invalid” and its just about every single line.

If I try to import without the overwrite I just get “handle already exists, no change made”.

I even imported the sample csv to see if it worked, oddly it did. So why won’t my original export just re-import?

I have an open ticket with support, but I need help asap as my website is essentially down with no real products live.
