Can you please tell me the exact error message that displays when you try and buy the domain? Also, if you feel comfortable, could you also share with me the .com domain you’re attempting to purchase?
It is possible to buy domains directly from Shopify, including ones ending in .com, so this error is likely related to the specific domain you are trying to buy. You can use our domain availability page to check and confirm that the domain you want to buy is available to buy and not already owned by someone else.
