To confirm, is your primary domain one purchased through Shopify? As well, may I ask which provider your email is with? It’s important to note that third-party email hosts that enforce Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) can’t be used as an email forwarding address. AOL and Yahoo are examples of email hosts that enforce DKIM.
Once you set up your email forwarding address, did you also add an SPF record to your domain? This will help to ensure that email messages are forwarded to your destination email address successfully. Finally, it’s important to ensure that to test your email forwarding you log in to a different email account than the one you set up as your forwarding email address.
