I have created an automatic discount - First Order which is directed to customer segment who are ordering for the first time and have subscribed. When they are trying to place a discount by entering the discount code they are getting a prompt that - This code is not available for you right now. It was working earlier and now its not working. Please look in to this asap.

I understand you are having an issue with a discount not working. In your question, you state it is an Automatic Discount, and when customers input the code it does not work. That would be the issue. Automatic Discounts do not require a discount code to be added.
If you are using an Automatic Discount, it will populate without inputting a code as long as the necessary products are added. For example, if you have a buy 2 get 1 free Automatic Discount it will apply as long as you have all 3 products added to the cart. If you prefer to require your customers to input a code you would instead set up a Discount Code which is different from the Automatic Discount.
