Why is my friend's payment account on hold due to lack of SSN?

The Shopify Payments hold can be due to a number of reasons. Our Shopify Payments team have their own process in place to determine this. Have you received an email from our “Money Support” team at all?

Also when clicking on “Submit Documents” on the banner in your home page, are you able to see the required documents you need to submit?
