Why is my menu is not responsive on mobile using "Simple" theme?

Hello–my Shopify site theme is Simple and when on mobile, the menu items display stacked and outside of the header bar.

If Simple doesn’t have a responsive menu function, what can I do to make my menu a hamburger menu when viewed on mobile?
