I reamed my business last year & changed it throughout my Shopify store (except for the shop.name.myshopify) as Shopify said that it couldn’t be changed.
My old name is still appearing in Google Search & The browser window tab but ONLY on the Home Page (Yes, I have changed it in the settings). Everywhere else it has my new name.
Shopify hasn’t been helpful.
Any ideas of why the old name still appears?

From what you’ve described, it appears that Google is currently displaying outdated content from your website. Search engines go through this process called crawling to gather information from different websites on the internet so they can display them on their result pages. Since the changes you’ve made haven’t been reflected on Google, it likely means that Google hasn’t crawled the updated version of your website. To fix this, you simply need to ask Google to crawl your pages.
You can have Google crawl your website by submitting a sitemap. You can refer to this page in the Shopify Help Center to find your sitemap file and submit it to Google. If other search engines, such as Bing and Yahoo, are also displaying outdated content from your website, you can watch this video to submit the sitemap to them.
You may notice that the information doesn’t change right after submitting the sitemap. Search engines take time to crawl websites and the time it takes is unpredictable–it can be completed in as little as 4 days and up to 6 months. While you learn about the concept of crawling, you may also want to take the time to learn about Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the search engine ranking for your store with the goal to help customers find your products. Thanks for your reply. A sitemap was uploaded a while ago (like a month) & through Google Search Console & the site has been fully indexed. The name change occurred back in July last year. That’s well over six months!
