Why is my online store repeatedly unavailable?

I have been getting this page repeatedly while working on my website.

I understand why you would want to get to the bottom of this, especially as it is preventing you from working on your store.

Did this just start happening today? Could you explain what you were trying to do on the store when this error started to happen?

Intentionally engaging in unusual behaviours for testing purposes, such as repeatedly making and abandoning checkouts over and over or constantly repeating other actions is not recommended. Is it possible that you were testing something out like that?

The most common reason for something like this happening is because Shopify has detected unusual activity coming from you and has temporarily blocked incoming traffic to protect the stability of your website and our platform. As the error message explains, you can try refreshing the page in a couple of minutes and you should be able to access the store again.

If this is an ongoing issue for you, and you are not engaging in any unusual behaviours on the store then I would recommend contacting our support team using this link here, where we can authenticate you and take a closer look. We will do our best to investigate the reason behind this temporary block and recommend actions to lessen the chance of it appearing in the future.
