I placed an order with Abbey Rode Studio and when the order went through, it showed my name and card # but it also showed my address as being in Florida. I’ve never lived in Florida and the address on my card is 5403 Robert Rd., Celina, Ohio.
I have attached the receipt for my order with the bad address. I do not have a Shopify store account or any other account with Shopify. Please look into this and let me know what’s going on.
Abbey Road says they cannot correct the address so I guess someone in Florida will be getting my purchase.
That is definitely a frustrating situation to have your order list an incorrect address.
Unfortunately, as Shopify is the platform merchants use to run their stores, we don’t have access to the business, or your order ourselves. As such, you will need to contact the merchant directly.
I do see you mention that Abbey Road is stating they cannot adjust the order information. However, if they have not yet shipped the item there should be no reason why they can’t head to the order within their Shopify store and adjust the address for you.
I did they said to contact Shopify. That’s the problem. Abbey Road says that Shopify has the wrong information on my account and they have to correct it.
Tired of the runaround. In the meantime somehow someone used my name and phone# to creat an account with a fictitious card number.
That is super frustrating, and I can understand your pain. However, your retailer is responsible for this, not Shopify. For example, you wouldn’t raise an issue with your Credit Card provider if the address on something you ordered was incorrect — you’d talk to the retailer you bought from. It’s the same thing. The retailer is entirely responsible for products ordered and the correctness of those orders.
