Hi, I recently updated to the Dawn theme, and I cannot get the PayPal checkout button to stay off the “cart” page. I do NOT want it on the cart page, it causes all kinds of conversion issues.
I DO want it on the checkout page, like I used to have on my old theme, however, this doens’t seem possible anymore.
The PayPal button shows on the cart, but not on the checkout. I would like that reversed, lol.
I have dynamic payments turned off on my product page, and it doesn’t show up there.

I opened up a new version of Dawn in my own store here just to fiddle around with the settings to see if I could find that magic button that would disable that PayPal button on your cart. After doing some digging, I couldn’t turn up any buttons within the theme settings that controlled for this.
From there, I did some additional digging, and chatted a bit with the Support Team to investigate some options. It turns out, our Theme Specialists may be able to assist you with removing these buttons via a coding change by using some of your ‘Free Design Time’ that comes backed into your Shopify Plan.
They wanted me to advise you that you should reach out to the Live Support Team using this link here. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be connected with one of our Advisors. You’ll explain that you want these buttons removed from the cart page, give them the same justification as to why as you did for me here, and they will then speak to the Theme Team to see if they can make the customization for you. I can’t promise what the result may be, but it never hurts to ask and make use of that Design Time that you have.
