Why is my product import failing due to invalid jpg file type?

Hi,

I’ve been trying to upload over 5k products with a csv file. When uploading I always tick a box to overwrite the existing products with a matching handle. Unfortunately not all my products manage to load:

  • 3,908 products were modified
  • 1,541 products couldn’t be changed due to invalid information

Majority of the errors are as follows:

Failed:

  • Line 314-324: Validation failed: /productimages/dams/afs-ft.jpg is not a valid image file type.

Is it strange the error doesn’t list the whole https link? Both the “Image Src” and “Variant Image” have got a full https link (which is working fine when downloading the image directly from the web). I found several solutions which haven’t worked. I checked the size of the image (28KB), tried the http version (without the secure).

Have you got any ideas how to solve this? (without going through each product one by one)

Could you message me or upload here one of the images that are failing and I will take a look? Even better if you could just send through a csv file with just the one row that is failing and I’ll test it out as well. If you would like to email it you can send it to tom@channelup.io

This is happening to me also I’m afraid through the creativehub app.
