Shopify App not allowing me to log in, error message says “Something prevented the Captcha from loading. Try disabling your ad blocker or reload the page.”
App was working fine yesterday. No add blockers are turned on.
Anyone else having a problem?
Login to the Shopify Mobile app is failing with a “Something prevented the Captcha from loading” error, despite ad blockers reportedly being off. The issue appeared suddenly; at least one user can still log in via a browser but not the app.
One participant suggests contacting the specific app’s support, but a user reports that support has not been helpful. A Shopify staff member points to Safari-related causes interfering with CAPTCHA (a human-verification test) and recommends local troubleshooting.
Recommended steps:
No confirmation of resolution is provided, and the thread remains open. Unanswered questions include whether a recent app update or Safari content settings broadly trigger the CAPTCHA loading failure.
